i first discovered sos as a high school junior during a college visit to unc-chapel hill. a street team rep hit me with the maxisingle for "e.m.b.r.a.c.e". when i get home (shouts to fayettenam), and popped in the cd it was like being introduced to a long lost cousin. you see, i was a young dungeon family/organized noize production fanatic, and i was never satisfied with the little tastes of big rube and p funk (bka sleepy brown) that i'd hear on an outkast or goodie cds. so when i heard both of them get loose on "e.m.b.r.a.c.e", i was hooked. i bought brainchild (their one and only album) as soon as i could get my hands on it. in '96 the album was ahead of its time and in 2007 its essential to any music collection. if you don't have it or aren't familiar you need to catch up. if you've got it pull it out and run track 15 and have some "peaches n' erb" on me. in the meantime here's "pushin'.this is barclay saying right on to the real and death to the fakers. enjoy the music.
