marlena shaw :: re-discovery

the new dockers commercial is dope! this statement may seem somewhat oxymoronic (its a word; look it up) coming from such a savvy, urban consumer as myself, but i can't front - they nailed! primarily due to the usage of a classic funk/jazz hit from marlene shaw.

i've been sitting on this post for almost a month and thought i wouldn't put it up simply due to lack of interest. however, last week one of my co-workers (whaddup kwes?!) hit me out of the blue with "yo i know you're feeling that new docker's commercial, what's that song?". motivated by that, i decided to post the song by the one an only marlena shaw california soul.
